My Approach to Astrology
I practice astrology as a living conversation between the individual, the cosmos, and the unfolding story of a life.
Rather than viewing astrology as a system for predicting events, I approach it as a tool for self-understanding, healing, meaning-making, and personal transformation. A birth chart can reveal patterns, gifts, challenges, relationships, developmental themes, and the deeper questions that may be shaping a person's journey.
My work draws from evolutionary astrology, medical astrology, traditional astrology, animist perspectives, mythology, seasonal wisdom traditions, and queer approaches to embodiment and identity. I am particularly interested in how astrology can help people understand their relationship with health, purpose, community, ancestry, gender, creativity, and belonging.
In a reading, I often weave together chart interpretation, storytelling, symbolism, intuition, mythological themes, and practical reflection. Rather than simply describing placements, I explore how the chart is alive within a person's experiences, relationships, choices, and growth.
As a practitioner of acupuncture and Medical Qigong, I am also interested in the relationship between astrology and the body. The zodiac, planets, elements, and seasonal cycles offer a symbolic language through which we can explore patterns of vitality, stress, resilience, and wellbeing.
Above all, I see astrology as a practice of relationship. A relationship with time. A relationship with nature. A relationship with mystery. And a relationship with the unfolding process of becoming who we are.
My goal is not to tell people who they are.
My goal is to help them remember.
